In Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, the player can access several side-mission challenges.

Challenges: Avenging Angels

Avenging Angels GTA LCS side mission
The mission is similar to the Vigilante side mission, requiring the player to take down a number of criminals within a time limit. Reaching level 15 in the mission is required for completion, and is when the player receives rewards:
  • Portland Island: $1500, and an Avenger motorcycle parked in front of Toni's safehouse in Saint Mark's (appears only once)
  • Staunton Island: $1500, the player stops losing money when Busted
  • Shoreside Vale: $1500, and the Hero Garb outfit delivered to all of the player's safehouses.

Challenges: Bike Salesman

Bike Salesman GTA LCS side mission
The mission requires the player to sell all 40 motorcycles from the Hogs 'n' Cogs store. There are four possible buyers, each wanting a different bike - the player has to show them off in order to successfully sell them.
  • Freeway: The customer wants a bike that can run over people and evade the police - the player must lose wanted levels and perform illegalities in order to increase the sales meter.
  • PCJ-600: The customer wants a quick bike - the player must drive around the Liberty City Memorial Stadium at high speeds to increase the sales meter.
  • Faggio: The customer wants a slow and steady bike - the player must smoothly drive around, avoiding collisions.
  • Sanchez: The customer wants a great off-road motorcycle - the player must drive outside paved roads and perform stunts to impress the buyer.

After the player finishes selling all 40 motorcycles, the store will become an asset and begin paying up to $3.000 in protection money.

Challenges: Car Salesman

The mission requires the player to sell cars from the Capital Autos store - there are 6 levels to complete, each requiring the player to sell four vehicles to customers who want to go on a test drive. The player must impress them, each having different requirements for the cars they want to buy.
  • Two Door Coupe (Esperanto, Stallion, Idaho): The customer wants a vehicle that can run over people and evade the police - the player must lose wanted levels and perform illegalities in order to increase the sales meter.
  • Sports Car (Stinger, Banshee, Cheetah): The customer wants a quick car - the player must drive around town at high speeds to increase the sales meter.
  • Slow Car (Perennial, Manana): The customer wants a slow and steady car - the player must smoothly drive around, avoiding collisions.
  • Off-Road Vehicle (BF Injection, Bobcat, Patriot): The customer wants a great off-road-capable car- the player must drive outside paved roads and perform stunts to impress the buyer.

Each buyer requires the car in mint condition, so beware not to damage them. If they are damaged, they can be quickly repaired at a Pay 'n' Spray. Every second level completed awards a new car at the Capital Autos showroom. Initially, a Kuruma is parked on the platform. After level 2, a Sentinel will take its place, and after level 4, a Hellenbach GT will stay on the platform instead.

Challenges: Go Go Faggio

Go Go Faggio GTA LCS side mission
This challenge requires the player to collect twenty-five checkpoints scattered around the area in under one minute and fifty seconds, while riding the Faggio scooter. After completing the challenge, the player can re-attempt to beat their best time and earn another $1,000. 

Challenges: Karmageddon

Karmageddon GTA LCS side mission
The mission requires Toni, just as the Karmageddon story mission does, to create as much havoc as possible by destroying property throughout Liberty City while driving a Fire Truck. The havoc generated is measured on a points meter, and the mission is considered finalized when the meter is filled.
The player can cause damage through several actions, such as:
  • Running over pedestrians
  • Hitting bikers
  • Flipping cars
  • Spinning cars
  • Destroying vehicles
  • Sending vehicles into the air
  • Pushing vehicles into water

As a reward, the player gains a sum of money equal to the minimum between $1500 and 20$ times the remaining time in seconds. Additionally, the player may now also find Molotov Cocktails in the alleyway behind the Belleville Park Fire Station. 

Challenges: Scrapyard Challenge

Scrapyard Challenge GTA LCS side mission
The goal of the challenge is to gather more than 20 points by collecting colored coronas scattered around the junkyard while riding the Sanchez. Green coronas award one point, yellow coronas are harder to collect and award 2 points, while the red ones are the hardest to collect and award 3 points.
Collecting 20 coronas awards the player with 4x money on any car crushed in the future. Additionally, collecting 31 coronas awards the player with 8x money on any car crushed in the future.
 

Challenges: See the sight before your flight

See The Sight Before Your Flight GTA LCS side mission
The mission consists of 12 different levels, and requires the player to drive tourists through Liberty City, take them to landmarks, take photographs of them and take them back to the airport.
The photos taken by the player can award extra money, depending on the quality of the picture taken, the rewards ranging from no bonus to an extra $500.
  • Sight 1: Cochrane Dam, Shoreside Vale ($250)
  • Sight 2: Liberty City Memorial Stadium, Aspatria, Staunton Island ($500)
  • Sight 3: Chinatown Plaza, Portland Island ($1,000)
  • Sight 4: Liberty City Cathedral, Bedford Point, Staunton Island ($500)
  • Sight 5: Callahan Bridge, Portland Island ($1,000)
  • Sight 6: Liberty City War Memorial, Belleville Park, Staunton Island ($500)
  • Sight 7: Sex Club Seven, Red Light District, Portland Island ($1,000)
  • Sight 8: Liberty City Museum, Staunton Island ($500)
  • Sight 9: Big Shot Casino, Torrington, Staunton Island ($500)
  • Sight 10: House of Black Lightman, Cedar Grove, Shoreside Vale ($250)
  • Sight 11: City Hall, Belleville Park, Staunton Island ($500)
  • Sight 12: Portland Rock ($1,000)

Completing all 12 sights awards the player an extra $2,500. Additionally, the player receives a unique bulletproof Landstalker outside of the Shoreside Vale safehouse. The vehicle only appears once and must be saved in a garage to reappear.

Challenges: Slash TV

Slash TV GTA LCS side mission
The mission requires Toni, just as the Portland Chainsaw Masquerade story mission does, to take out waves of enemies by using a Chainsaw. The mission consists of 5 levels, each awarding a different amount of cash ($100, $300, $500, $700 and $1500). The first time the mission is played, Toni has to fight homeless people. The second time the mission is attempted, enemies wearing the Cox Mascot Outfit will instead target Toni, who will receive the outfit in his wardrobe after successful completion of the mission.

Challenges: Trash Dash

The mission requires the player to collect trash cans using a Trashmaster trash truck. After collecting the first dumpsters, the player has 40 seconds (30 in Portland Island) to collect a new one. Once all of them are picked up, the player must return to the Harwood Junkyard on Portland Island.
Completing the mission on all 3 islands is required for 100% completion, and every island awards the player a different amount of money:
  • Portland Island - $2.000
  • Staunton Island - $3.000
  • Shoreside Vale - $4.000

Challenges: Wong Side of the Tracks

Wong Side of the Tracks GTA LCS side mission
The mission requires the player to flee the Wong Brothers by riding a Sanchez through checkpoints placed on a train track. The player must finish the mission in a time limit, and every checkpoint passed adds 15 seconds to the timer. The reward for completing the mission is $1,500 and completion marks towards 100% game completion.
