Hello everyone, and a very warm welcome to Los Santos — now more stunning than ever on the Expanded and Enhanced PC version!
Whether you're stepping into GTA Online for the very first time or returning with fresh eyes, you're about to experience one of the most vibrant, chaotic, and thrilling open worlds ever crafted — now with enhanced graphics, faster loading, and smoother gameplay that brings Los Santos to life like never before.
One of the biggest additions for new players on the Expanded and Enhanced edition is the Career Builder — a game-changing system that gives you GTA$4 million and a fully set-up business right from the start. But with four unique career paths to choose from, a big question pops up:
Which is the Best Career Builder Path?
That’s exactly what we’ll break down in this guide — helping you pick the best business setup for your goals, your playstyle, and the empire you want to build. So gear up, grab your first million, and let’s figure out how to kick-start your legacy in GTA Online — the smart way.
After a short cinematic teaser introducing you to the world of GTA Online, Rockstar Games generously grants you a massive GTA$4,000,000 to kickstart your criminal empire. It’s an incredible head start, and honestly, hats off to Rockstar for making the early grind feel more exciting and less overwhelming for new players.
Once you're in, you'll be presented a screen as below with four unique Career Builder paths, each offering a different business model and playstyle to dive into:
- Executive – Step into the shoes of a SecuroServ CEO and gain access to a luxurious CEO Office along with a Special Cargo Warehouse. It’s the gateway to corporate crime, high-end deals, and city domination.
- Gunrunner – You'll receive a fully operational Bunker with its core upgrades, giving you the tools to produce and sell illegal weapons, and eventually unlock powerful Mk II upgrades.
- Nightclub Owner – Start out with your very own Nightclub, complete with storage space and staff. While it shines later as a passive income hub, it's stylish and perfect for players who like to play it cool and profitable.
- Biker – Take control as the President of a Motorcycle Club, and begin managing your first MC business, producing and selling illegal goods with that gritty, outlaw vibe.
If you're just here for the quick advice and want the most efficient path to power — then hands down, the Gunrunner is the best Career Builder choice. With passive income, strong weapon unlocks, and solid solo potential, it's the most rewarding setup for long-term success.
Getting Started as a Gunrunner
Once you select Gunrunner from the Career Builder screen, you'll move on to the Bunker Setup Phase, which is broken down into five key categories: Bunker, Upgrades, Vehicles, Weapons, Summary.
NOTE : If you have purchased the Criminal Enterprise Pack (also known as premium edition) you will get some free rewards, don’t forget to claim them too.
Let’s break them down — starting with the most important step: choosing your bunker location.
Selecting the Right Bunker Location
Location matters a lot. The bunker you choose will define how much time you spend driving during missions, how exposed you are to other players, and how convenient your supply runs and sales are. The Chumash Bunker is the best value-for-money option. It’s close to the city, easy to access via highway, and has great routes for sell missions.
Choose Chumash Bunker with no doubt and for the criminal enterprise pack users, you too can choose Chumash, but if you are thinking of saving money and ok with time consuming missions choose Paleto Forest. Now moving on to the Upgrades for your bunker.
Essential Bunker Upgrades
Once you’ve selected your bunker location, the next step is Upgrades — and trust me, this part makes a huge difference. You’ll be given a list of 10 upgrade options, each designed to boost your efficiency, productivity, and security as a gunrunner. My Recommendation: Go with Bunker Upgrade Pack A.
Choosing Your First Ride: Best Vehicles to Start With in GTA Online
After setting up your bunker and grabbing some essential upgrades, you'll be asked to choose from a list of 22 vehicles to help you hit the streets of Los Santos. But here's the deal — your starter cash is limited, and you'll want to save every dollar for future investments like supplies, upgrades, and businesses.
So instead of blowing cash on a flashy car early on, go for the cheapest option possible. My Recommendation: Stick with either Vapid Sadler or Bravado Bison.
Because let’s be honest — this is GTA. You can literally steal cars off the street anytime you want. That’s the fun, right?
Arming Up: Choosing the Right Weapons
There are a total of 13 weapons to choose from during the Career Builder setup — and it’s important to pick a balanced loadout that covers all kinds of combat situations.
You don’t need to grab everything, but make sure you have at least one weapon in each major category: explosives, rifles, and close-range weapons.
Here are my top picks:
- Hawk & Little Homing Launcher
- Vom Feuer Special Carbine
- Shrewsbury Heavy Shotgun
- Pipe Bombs
Career Builder Summary
The Summary section gives you a final look at all your purchases and choices during the Career Builder setup. Make sure you’re happy with your setup — because once you confirm, it’s go time in Los Santos.
There you go, people — your Gunrunning empire is ready to roll, and you're fully equipped to take on the world of GTA Online. So gear up, get out there, and rule the streets.
