On this page, you find the full list and guide to all weapons in GTA Vice City Stories, including all Guns, Rifles, Explosives, Melee, and every weapon featured in the game for PSP and PS2.
There are a total of 32 weapons available in GTA Vice City Stories, spread across 9 weapon slots, which hold a particular class of weapons and items. You can only carry one weapon of each type, so if that slot is filled and you pick up a weapon of the same type, you will replace the current one.

Weapons can be found and picked up from various locations around the Vice City map, and several of them can be purchased from the various Ammu-Nation and the new Stonewall J's shop.
Slot 1: Hand
Fist
When all else fails, your trusty fist will do the job - punch down your enemies!
Brass Knuckles
If your bare fist is not sturdy enough, reinforce it with some brass knuckles - they pack a punch!
Slot 2: Melee Weapons
Axe
If you're tired of cutting down wood - why not cut down an innocent pedestrian? Smack them down with your axe - it's fun!
Baseball Bat
One of the most common objects used as weapons - the Baseball Bat is commonly found throughout the city and is great for smacking down whoever annoys you or your friends.
Butterfly Knife
A beautiful piece of design, the butterfly knife has not one, but two handles and two blades. Elegant and small, it's just perfect for cutting down your enemies.
Available for purchase at Stonewall J's in Little Havana for $7.
Chainsaw
Originally a tool used for cutting down trees, the Chainsaw seems to be more commonly used for cutting down people. Rev its engine up and get to killing!
Gaff Hook
The hook of a fishing gaff, this pointy tool is not only great for fishing but also for smacking your enemies!
Golf Club
Originally used for smacking golf balls into their holes, the golf club can do just fine as a weapon as well.
Katana
Based on: Katana
One of the most powerful melee weapons in the game, the Katana can decapitate your enemies with a single strike. Caution when wielding!
Knife
Based on: Civil War Dagger
The knife - what better use could anyone find for it other than stabbing innocent pedestrians? So much fun!
Machete
Based on: Naga Dao Blade
A bigger blade allows for more damage - the machete is a strong melee weapon capable of taking down your enemies in very few shots.

Nightstick
Based on: Monadnock PR-24 Control Device Baton.
The law enforcement baton, also known as the nightstick is the weapon of choice for police officers - strong and resistant, it can be used to smack down enemies, break windows or defend from attacks.
Slot 3: Explosives
Grenade
Based on: M67 Grenade
Want to blow something up? Take out the pull pin and throw it far away - beware, the explosion also hurts you!
Available for purchase at the Vice Point and Downtown Ammu-Nation stores for $360.
Molotov
The epitome of human ingenuity, the molotov cocktail allows alcohol vapors to catch fire when freed from the bottle, producing a wide-spread area of flames that is capable of burning down your enemies in quick time.
Remote Grenades
Based on: M67 Grenade
Want to blow something up? Want more control over when it will blow up? Take out the pull pin and throw it far away, then press the detonator to explode it - beware, the explosion also hurts you!
Slot 4: Handguns
Equalizer
Based on: Colt Python 6"
A powerful revolver with high recoil, the Equalizer can only be shot while standing still. It has a good magazine capacity of 6 rounds and can kill enemies with one shot.
Pistol
Based on: Beretta 92F
The classic firearm - quick, lightweight, and hurtful, the Pistol is great for any criminal at the beginning of their career.
Available for purchase at the Downtown Ammu-Nation for $240.
Slot 5: Shotguns
Shotgun
Based on: Break-Action Double-Barreled Shotgun
The Pump Shotgun is a classic, firing extremely powerful shots, it is capable of dealing mass damage to any enemy close to the weapon.
Available for purchase at the Downtown Ammu-Nation for $1000.
SPAZ 12
Based on: Franchi SPAS-12
An extremely powerful shotgun, capable of taking down massive waves of enemies and even destroying vehicles. In Vice City Stories, it is the most powerful of all the non-automatic weapons.
Available for purchase at the Ocean Beach Ammu-Nation for $4000.
Stubby Shotgun
Based on: Sawed-Off Ithaca 37
A double-fire barrel means double destruction, which is always good - the stubby shotgun is capable of making quick work of your enemies with its great firepower.
Available for purchase at Stonewall J's in Little Havana for $900 (after completion of "O, Brothel, Where Art Thou?")
Slot 6: Submachine Guns
Micro SMG
Based on: Uzi
A compact and quick-firing weapon, the Micro SMG is a great choice for anyone who wants to shoot down some pesky pedestrians.
Available for purchase at the Downtown Ammu-Nation for $600.
Scorpion
Based on: Škorpion Vz. 61 submachine gun
A tiny machine gun, the Scorpion is a great pocket-size weapon to carry around just in case something goes wrong.
Available for purchase at Stonewall J's in Little Havana for $270.
Silenced MG
Based on: MAC-10
A strong machine pistol, the MAC10 allows the user to run while shooting, making it very versatile. The weapon has a fairly wide spread at long distances, making it less useful in some situations.
SMG
Based on: Compact MP5K; MP5SD
The powerful submachine gun has a strong fire rate and good damage, being capable of taking down enemies in a very short time.

Slot 7: Assault Rifles
AK47
Based on: AK-47
A powerful rifle used by some gangs throughout Vice City. With a strong fire rate and great damage, the AK can be extremely destructive.
Available for purchase at the Ocean Beach Ammu-Nation for $4200. (after completion of "From Zero To Hero")
Assault Rifle
Based on: XM16E1
The weapon of choice for many government agencies, it can be seen wielded by the military and the FBI. High-level criminal organizations like the Mafia often choose this weapon for its high fire rate and high damage.
Available for purchase at the Vice Point Ammu-Nation for $5400.
Slot 8: Heavy Weapons
Flamethrower
Based on: M2 Flamethrower
Grab your custom-made flamethrower, fill its tank with fuel, and wreak havoc upon your enemies. The flamethrower fires a large cone of fire toward your enemies, burning them to a crisp in a very short time.
M249
Based on: M249E1
An extremely powerful weapon with a rapid-fire rate, the M249 can shoot over 100 rounds a minute and kills your enemies with only one shot. Vehicles don't stand much more of a chance against this beast, being destroyed by it in mere seconds.
Minigun
Based on: M197 Gatling Gun; GAU-19 Machine Gun
With an almost endless belt of ammunition and an incredible fire rate, the Minigun is easily one of the strongest weapons available in Vice City Stories. Mow down your enemies, their vehicles, and their dreams of ever getting to you…

Rocket Launcher
Based on: M72 LAW Rocket Launcher
Ever dreamt of firing explosive rockets right from your arms? The Rocket Launcher allows you to do just that - choose your target and watch it explode in a huge ball of flames. Wonderful!

Slot 9: Sniper Rifles
Laser Sniper
Based on: SVD Dragunov
The Laser Sniper is a semi-automatic sniper capable of taking down enemies with immense precision thanks to its laser capabilities. Its very powerful shots allow for one-shot kills on anyone.
Available for purchase at the Vice Point Ammu-Nation for $8000.
Sniper Rifle
Based on: M21 Sniper Weapon System
A standard sniper rifle, ideal for situations that require good precision and accuracy at a long range. Limitations include a low fire rate and slow reload speed.

Binoculars
Have you ever wanted to see far away? Thank god the binoculars were invented - just place them on your eyes and, voilà, observe!
Camera
The best way to take pictures - a photo camera. Look through the visor and *click*. You've successfully taken a photograph.
