The GTA Online Summer 2026 Update, which will be called "The Kortz Center Heist" is coming soon to GTA Online, most likely on July 14, 2026, in what could be the final DLC of the game before the imminent release of Grand Theft Auto VI.

While the full content of The Kortz Center Heist Update remains unconfirmed, Rockstar Games has officially announced a brand-new heist, and they have teased the continuation of the Mansions DLC. Additionally, we can expect a mix of new activities, cars, and extra content.

When is the GTA Update Coming? Summer DLC Release Date

Rockstar has now officially confirmed the release date of the Summer 2026 DLC. The "GTA Online: Kortz Center Heist" update is scheduled to release on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.

The 1.73 Title Update will come to GTA Online for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and will also still release on PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Set in the hills of Pacific Bluffs, the iconic Kortz Center has long been one of Los Santos' most prestigious cultural landmarks, housing valuable works of art from around the world. In this new heist, players will have the opportunity to target the gallery's prized collection and pull off a major art theft for a huge payday.

To get started with The Kortz Center Heist, players will need to purchase and upgrade a Mansion property with the new Art Studio extension. From there, you'll be able to scope out the Kortz Center, gather intelligence, and choose an approach for this multi-stage heist, which can be completed either solo or with a crew.

Pre-Update Bonuses: Fine Art Collector Program

Rockstar has also confirmed that the weeks leading up to the update will feature a variety of special GTA Online events designed to help players prepare. These will include bonus GTA$ rewards, major discounts, and opportunities to earn special rewards through the new Fine Art Collector program:

Log in before July 13 to receive GTA$500,000 within 72 hours, plus claim a free Turreted Limo (Sedan) from Warstock Cache & Carry
Complete any Heist to receive GTA$1,000,000 within 72 hours, plus the NOOSE Outfit
Mansion owners: Log in before July 13 to receive a curated collection of special gifts when The Kortz Center Heist releases:
- GTA$1,000,000 discount on the Art Studio upgrade for your Mansion, which is necessary to initiate the Heist
- Free Annihilator Stealth helicopter from Warstock,
- A Sculpture
- Opportunity to unlock a unique Painting to decorate your Mansion

GTA Summer Update 2026: The Final DLC Storyline?

With the release of Grand Theft Auto VI approaching, the Summer 2026 DLC is likely going to be the final GTA Online update - at least when it comes to storyline content.

We can hope to expect a proper send-off to the storyline revolving around our GTA Online player, which will likely feature Mr. Faber as an antagonist, as it was teased in the previous Mansions DLC. It would definitely be cool to see Michael, Franklin, and maybe even Trevor, all make a final cameo and return to the game's storyline, to celebrate and say goodbye to 13 years of GTA Online.

Building off the adjustments made with the previous Title Updates, based on player feedback, this Summer’s GTA Online update will also add a range of experience improvements.

GTA Online Summer Update 2026: New Vehicles

As we have come to expect with all GTA Online Updates, we can look for several new cars and vehicles to be added with the Summer 2026 DLC, with some introduced at launch on July 14, and more to be released in the subsequent months.

After the PS5 & Xbox Series X|S Update introduced the new Hao's Special Works Auto Shop, we could also expect more cars to be made eligible for the HSW Upgrades.

The Summer DLC will likely bring to GTA Online several teasers and challenges related to Grand Theft Auto VI, which Rockstar will gradually enable in the months leading up to the release of the long-awaited next chapter of the GTA series.

This would be similar to what happened in 2018 before the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, when Rockstar introduced to GTA Online a Treasure Hunt and a Bounty Hunter challenge, which upon completion, unlocked the Double-Action Revolver and Stone Hatchet in RDR2.
